ABA THERAPY
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is the application of behavioral principles to everyday situations to help increase or decrease targeted behaviors over time. ABA can help individuals develop a variety of skills, including language, self-help, and play skills. These same principles can also help reduce challenging behaviors such as aggression, self-stimulatory behaviors, and self-injury.

SHADOW AIDES
A shadow aide is trained in the basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including reinforcement, prompting, prompt fading, and shaping. The shadow aide accompanies the student in an inclusive setting and provides support throughout their day. They help the student use skills they have already learned while also supporting the development of new skills and greater independence.

PARENT COUNSELING
Parent training focuses on teaching strategies that help promote social communication and everyday learning. Social communication may include eye gaze, facial expressions, gestures, and sounds used to communicate with others. Parent training also provides strategies to support understanding new words and learning how to appropriately use toys, tools, and other everyday objects.
